KSR Bengaluru City railway station gets mask and sanitizer dispenser machine

IRSDC installed the machine on a trial basis. However, it only accepts currency notes.
BENGALURU: To ensure each railway passenger carries face masks and sanitizers, Indian Railway Stations Development Corporation (IRSDC) has installed an automated face mask and hand sanitizer dispenser machine at KSR Bengaluru city railway station.
“We are installing similar machines at other railway stations across the Bengaluru division” said Ashok Kumar Verma, Bengaluru Divisional Railway Manager.

Sources say IRSDC installed the machine on a trial basis. However, it only accepts currency notes.
In addition to this, the commercial department of the Bengaluru division of South Western Railway is planning to install two machines each at KSR Bengaluru City and Yeshwanthpur stations. Senior divisional commercial manager, Bengaluru Division, A N Krishna Reddy said,: “We are planning to install two machines at KSR Bengaluru City (platform 1 and 8) and Yeshwanthpur (platform 1 and 6) by next week. Both masks and sanitizers will be available for passengers at government fixed rates” he said.
Indian railways recently installed similar machines at Nagpur and Patna railway stations
