Bad light has stopped play. Doesn't look too promising for continuation today. . We still have no news as to whether we'll get more play, whether we won't, or at what point that call will be made. The good news is that the weather looks promisingly good for the forthcoming days so.
Bad light has stopped play once again with the WI on 57-1, trailing by 147. Brathwaite (20*) & Hope (3*) at the crease.
"The bad light rule needs a serious overhaul, especially in the floodlights and white ball era. It is shooting itslef n the foot. Test Cricket has to whatever it can to be attractive to fans, especially as we can only watch on TV, " says Stefano Hetwald, an ardent cricket fan on social media.
FOUR, freebie and Brathwaite gets some bat on it and its a much-needed boundary. 50 up for the visitors for the loss of 1 wicket. WI are here to play, they mean business this time around and this can be said by their body language & performance so far.

WICKET! Mark Wood falls for 5. Excellent bowling from the West Indies captain. Career-best figures for Holder. Very sharply taken by Hope at gully to his left! That flew off the prod from Wood, and Holder has his second Test 6-for and, as of now, his best Test figures!
West Indies have beaten England in England in only one Test in this century. And it was in 2017 at Leeds
Jofra Archer is caught in front, LBW. The last five wickets have been taken by Holder. England have slipped from 154/5 to 157/8. Since 2018, Jason Holder has six five-wicket hauls in Tests, the joint-most by any bowler in this period.
Jason Holder since the start of 2018. Simply outstanding.

Brilliant catch from Shane Dowrich. Holder is on a song with four wickets. Buttler goes for 35. Once again moving the ball enough to take the outside edge. England struggling at 157/7, West Indies right on top. How good was that catch from 21-year-old Shane Dowrich
Jason Holder gets rid off Ben Stokes! This is a big moment in the game! England in a spot of bother now. Beautiful from Holder. Troubled Stokes on the first two balls and finally got his priced wicket. Got the ball to move away slightly. That full length again doing the trick. A 67-run stand is broken - enter Dom Bess. ENG- 154/6 after 54 overs
FIFTY partnership between Ben Stokes (36*) & Jos Buttler (23*). This pair is looking dangerous. Ben Stokes' defence has really tightened up in recent years. Since the start of 2018, he's dismissed every 95 defensive shots he plays against pace - no England player (min 10 matches) has a better record. Buttler has played some delightful strokes in this compact innings.
After a short delay-
LUNCH! Brilliant session for WI, as they took 4-71. Gabriel & Holder were particularly impressive. Windies had this session in control from the start, only dropped catch of Stokes could hurt them later. Otherwise did absolutely nothing wrong. ENG- 106/5 after 43 overs
100 comes up for England. 41.2 overs bowled. 5 wickets down! It's not been easy to reach the century mark.
Stokes DROPPED on 14! Short ball to Stokes and he can't resist a pull and gets horribly cramped, comes off the top part of the bat and Roach gets there in plenty of time at long-leg, gets both hands to it and lets it slip!
Edged through to the keeper, Holder has his second! Ollie Pope departs for 12. England in some bother on 87/5, with 20 minutes until lunch. West Indies have got England in a spot of real bother here, and it's entirely deserved for the tourists. They have bowled fantastically - our Expected Wickets model says that their deliveries should have brought 4.5 wickets, which is remarkable after just 40 overs.
