It is also worth noting that during this time, passengers may have to pay for these facilities separately in addition to the tickets. This will be part of the total revenue that the company running the private train will have to share with the railways.

According to initial estimates, this would help the Railways invest 30,000 crore in the private sector. Railway Board Chairman Vinod Kumar Yadav said that operations are expected to start in April 2023. According to the tender, Railways will give freedom to private companies to collect fare from passengers.

Many domestic companies as well as global players have shown interest in it. Global rail technology firm Bombardier Transportation said it is evaluating the project, but is not yet finalizing its role.
