Use a USB device? SBI wants you to follow these dos and don'ts to protect your account

USB devices are at major risk of getting infected by malware. Simply because they are used on multiple devices without much care about safety. This makes them vulnerable to act as objects of data theft and virus contamination. To help users protect USB their devices, State Bank of India (SBI) has shared some safety measures on Twitter.

Do’s
- Scan the USB device with the latest Antivirus before accessing
- Protect the device with a password
- Encrypt the files and folders on the device containing bank statements
- Use USB security products to access or copy data in the USB
Don’ts
- Do not accept any promotional USB device from unknown members
- Never keep sensitive information like bank details or passwords on USB disk
- Never connect the device to a virus infected system
