EVENT HIGHLIGHTS

The Indian markets rose half a per cent on Thursday, amid similar trends in their Asian peers.
The S&P BSE Sensex gained 210 points to 36,550 levels and the Nifty50 index held the 10,750-mark. IndusInd Bank and Bajaj Finance (both up 2%) were the top Sensex gainers. ICICI Bank was also trading 2 per cent higher after the bank's board gave approval to plans to raise upto Rs 15,000 crore to support business growth.
Moreover, TCS was also trading up ahead of its June quarter results announcement. According to analysts, the company may post up to 7 per cent decline in revenue in constant currency (CC) terms on a sequential basis owing to anticipated pressure in multiple segments due to the ongoing Covid-19 crisis. The Nifty sectoral indices were trading in the green, led by Nifty Metal index, up 3 per cent.
