Catriona Gray’s wax figure at Madame Tussauds to be unveiled in 2021 due to pandemic
On Catriona Gray’s birthday celebrated on the 6th January 2020, Madame Tussauds wax museum made the announcement that the gorgeous beauty queen will soon be getting her own wax figure. Catriona will be the first Filipina to have her image immortalized in the museum’s branch in Singapore.
Catriona confirmed the news by sharing a picture on her official Instagram account holding a fake eyeball that would be used on the wax statue. Madame Tussauds Singapore had confirmed that Gray’s wax figure will be wearing a replica of the iconic ‘lava’ gown designed by Mak Tumang which she wore during her crowning.
As many scheduled events were postponed due to the global pandemic, the unveiling which was to happen during this time has been postponed. Recently, Madame Tussauds organization organized a virtual interview with Catriona where she answered questions asked by few lucky fans from around the world.
Speaking about the amazing opportunity received she said that she was in shock when they approached her and stated that she still feels it’s surreal to have her own wax figure but she also feels honored as she is the third Filipino to have her wax figure at Madame Tussauds after Wurtzbach and boxing icon Manny Pacquiao. She also confirmed that they will be unveiling the wax figure in Manila which will then travel to Thailand, Bangkok, and Hong Kong and joked that her wax figure will be a world traveler queen.
