Meghalaya MBOSE HSSLC 12th Result 2020: The Meghalaya Board of School Education (MPBOSE) declared the result for the higher secondary school leaving certificate (HSSLC) or class 12 board exams. Students can check their results at the official websites, mbose.in, results.mbose.in, and megresults.nic.in.

A total of 72.24 per cent students cleared the 12th Science stream exam this year, while the pass percentage in Commerce touched at 77.28 per cent. Kaustab Choudhury has topped in Science with 468 marks, while Komal Sharma in Commerce with 445 marks.

The boys have outperformed girls in Science stream with 77.76 per cent, while girls have outperformed boys in Commerce with 83.02 pass per cent. A total of 900 students secured first division marks in Science while 1406 students passed with second division, and 46 students in third division. In Commerce, a total of 631 students secured first division, while 794 students got second division, and 108 students passed with third division.

A total of 30,697 students had registered for the Meghalaya Board HSSLC exams. Meghalaya Board plus two exams were concluded in June, however, some of the exams were deferred due to lockdown. The pending papers on mathematics, physical education, statistics were conducted from June 8 to 10, 2020. The combined results for all these exams is being declared now.

Candidates need to download the result and take a print out. This will act as a provisional mark sheet. The final and original mark sheet will be released by the schools later.

In 2019, Debjanee Bhattacharjee topped in science stream with 464 marks, while Bhanusaya Upadhaya with 448 marks in commerce. In class 12 Arts, the top rank was secured by Diana Kharbithai with 452 marks.

Science stream 

In the Science stream, Kaustab Choudhury topped the exam with 468 marks, while Anirban Das, Disha Chakraborty jointly secured the second spot, and Al Amin Miah bagged the third position.

Commerce stream 

Komal Sharma has topped in 12th Commerce stream with 445 marks, Vinod Prajapat bagged the second position with 444 marks, while Kumar Ayan Sharma secured the third spot with 439 marks

Check the pass percentage of regular and non-regular students in Science 

A total of 74.52 per cent students of regular category cleared the Science stream exams, while the pass percentage in non-regular category in 54.63 per cent. The pass percentage in Science stream touched at 72.24 per cent.

The boys have outperformed girls in Science stream with 77.76 per cent, while the pass percentage of girls touched at 71.93 per cent.

A total of 900 students secured first division marks in Science while 1406 students passed with second division, and 46 students in third division.

A total of 79.60 per cent students cleared the Commerce stream in regular category, while 59.68 per cent in non-regular category. The pass percentage in Commerce stream. touched at 77.28 per cent.

Girls outperform boys in Commerce

The girls have outperformed boys in Commerce with 83.02 pass per cent. The pass percentage of boys touched at 77.16 per cent.

Division wise pass percentage in Commerce

A total of 631 students secured first division in Commerce, while 794 students got second division, and 108 students passed with third division.

Pass percentage in Vocational stream

A total of 12 students appeared in the Vocational stream exam this year, out of which 10 cleared the exam successfully. The pass percentage touched at 83.33 per cent

Arts result to be announced this month

The Meghalaya Board of School Education (MPBOSE) will announce the result for Humanities stream this month. The date has not been decided yet

HSSLC result at COVID-19 pandemic: What new 

According to the board, the result will not be displayed in the board office at Tura/Shillong and even in the examination centres due to the Covid-19 situation. “The result booklet of the examination has been discontinued with effect from 2014. The whole results booklet can be downloaded from the MBOSE official website mbose.in,” the board release mentioned.

Could not clear HSSLC exam, options available

The unsuccessful candidates of the HSSLC exam are allowed to change the institution or examination centre and even stream within one month from the date of declaration of the result

How one can change subject

The students of class 12 are allowed to change their subject within a month from the date of declaration of class 11 internal promotion result, with prior permission from the Board, as per official notice by MBOSE

Last year, Neelam Kumari had topped class 10 exam with 577 marks out of 600. In class 12, the top rank was secured by Diana Kharbithai from the arts stream with 452 marks.

How to check result via SMS

Students can check their result through SMS by typing MBOSE12S<space>roll number and send it to 56263 for science stream. For commerce one has to type MBOSE12C<space>roll number and send it to 56263.

When SSLC 10th result to be announced

The evaluation process of the class 10 exam has been concluded, and the result will be released this month. “The board will release the result of the class 10 exam ‘very soon’, this month only,” T.R.Laloo, controller of examination said.
