NEW DELHI: FMCG shares were trading higher in Tuesday's session.

Shares of Dabur India (up 2.15 per cent) , TATA CONSUMER PRODUCTS (up 1.75 per cent) , Emami (up 1.37 per cent) , Britannia Industries (up 1.29 per cent) , Jubilant Foodworks (up 1.28 per cent) , Colgate Palmolive (India) (up 0.86 per cent) , United Spirits (up 0.73 per cent) , P & G Hygiene (up 0.34 per cent) , Nestle India (up 0.29 per cent) and Marico (up 0.06 per cent) were among the top gainers.

While ITC (down 2.63 per cent) , Godrej Consumer Products (down 0.76 per cent) , United Breweries (down 0.73 per cent) , VBL (down 0.38 per cent) and Hindustan Unilever (down 0.2 per cent) were the top losers in the index.

The Nifty FMCG index was trading 0.41 per cent down at 30520.5 around 02:11PM.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 2.25 points at 10761.4, while the BSE Sensex was up 38.64 points at 36525.92.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 21 were trading in the green, while 28 were in the red.

Shares of Vodafone Idea, BHEL, Tata Motors, NBCC , SAIL, SBI, RBL Bank Ltd., ICICI Bank, M&M Financial and Ashok Leyland were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
