
TN Tamil Nadu Board +2 Class 12th HSE Result 2020 HIGHLIGHTS: Over 9 lakh students who appeared for the Higher Secondary or class 12 exams will get their result soon. Though the board earlier decided to announce the result at 5 pm today, but it was later decided to conduct the pending papers of few students.
The board is re-thinking to conduct the exam of 671 students who could not appear in the HSE exams. “The board is re-thinking to conduct the re-exam of 671 students first which was re-scheduled on June 25, but could not be conducted due to lockdown in the state,” the office of Principal Secretary told The decision regarding declaration of result will be taken soon.
The Directorate of Government Examination (TNDGE) conducted the plus two exams in March however, due to lockdown, papers of a few subjects were left. Though the government cancelled the SSLC and plus one exam but had decided to conduct the pending HSE, VHSE exams later.

Once declared, the students can check the results through the websites- dge.tn.gov.in, tnresults.nic.in. The students need to log in to the websites. Click on the ‘download’ result link. Enter the registration number/ roll number. The result will appear on the screen. Download it, and take a print out for further reference.

The Tamil Nadu Board has adopted a no-detention policy in 2018 for class 11 which enables a student who are unable to clear the exams to take the same later in Class 12.
The Directorate of Government Exams (DGE), Tamil Nadu will declare the result of class 12 or Higher Secondary Examination (HSE) today. “The result of class 12 exam will be announced on Tuesday at 5 pm. In 2019, as many as 91.3 per cent of students who had appeared for the exam had passed it. This was a slight increase from 2018 when 91.1 per cent of students had passed the Tamil Nadu board exams. The highest pass percentage in recent years was observed in 2017, when 94.4 per cent of students passed the Tamil Nadu +2 board exam.
To get the result as an SMS result, candidates will have to register the mobile number available at the official websites
The exams pending for a small section of Class 11 students have been cancelled and they, too, will be promoted, said CM Edappadi K Palaniswami

To check your score on the website, candidates would need roll number and date of birth. These will help them log-in. Since over 9 lakh candidates would be checking their results it is advised to keep the documents handy.
Since 2018, the Tamil Nadu board has stopped 'advertising' or declaring the names of the top ranking students. Instead, it announced the city or district which registers the highest pass percentage. According to the DGE, the move is aimed to reduce the 'unhealthy' competition.
