Recovered BSF personnel donate plasma

NEW DELHI: BSF personnel who contracted Covid-19 while serving as frontline warriors but have since recovered are now coming forward to donate plasma to help treat other infected citizens. Since June 25, nine recovered BSF personnel from 126th battalion have donated their plasma to SMS Hospital in Jaipur.
These recovered personnel are in the age group of 27 years to 39 years.
On Tuesday, BSF put out the names and a group photograph of these personnel in a tweet that said: "We are the country's warriors and whatever be the battleground, we know only to win. Our Corona warriors are now plasma donors rejuvenating lives. An honour to serve and protect".
Till July 7, 852 of the 1,454 BSF personnel who tested positive for Covid-19 have recovered. There are 595 active cases in the border force as on July 7.
