The COVID-19 case count in Madhya Pradesh climbed to 15 thousand 284 with addition of 354 new cases in the last 24 hours. The death toll in the state has risen to 617. A total of 168 persons were discharged from hospitals yesterday taking the number of the recovered cases to 11 thousand 579.

As per the state health bulletin, the number of cases in Indore, the worst-hit district, rose to 4 thousand 876 and death toll to 246. The number of cases in Bhopal stood at 3 thousand 110 including 112 fatalities.

No new coronavirus case was reported from 15 districts since yesterday while two districts did not have any active cases. So far, about 4 lakh 17 thousand samples of corona infection have been tested in MP.

Meanwhile, efforts to control corona infection are showing good results in the state and COVID- 19 patients are continuously decreasing in the state. The Kill corona campaign is being run in MP from 1st July to 15th July. Till date, a total of 56 lakh 81 thousand houses have already been surveyed under the campaign. 2 crore 90 lakh 63 people have been covered under the survey.

During the survey, 31 thousand 584 suspected patients of corona infection were found. Apart from this, 12 thousand 63 people suffering from other diseases were found. Proper treatment is being given to all these patients.
