Rajasthan records biggest single-day spike of 716 new Covid-19 cases

JAIPUR: Rajasthan reported its record biggest single-day jump in new Covid-19 infections on Tuesday, adding 716 confirmed cases and bringing the tally to 21,404.
In the past four days, the state has set a record of the biggest single day spike thrice.
As many as 11 people died of coronavirus infection, taking the toll to 472 in the state.
The deaths were reported from Pali, Jaipur and Jodhpur, Bharatpur, Dholpur, Jalore and Nagaur districts.
The infection curve is rising in almost all the districts.
Among those districts, Jodhpur remained at the top of the list reporting 183 new infections, followed by Bikaner, where 112 persons were found infected with the new virus. Jaipur too, witnessed a sudden spike in cases, reporting 71 new infections.
Other districts which reported new cases are Barmer (47), Nagaur (45), Alwar (39), Jalore (37), Sirohi (30), Sikar (25), Hanumangarh (23), Bharatpur (18), Ajmer (15), Dholpur (12), Pali (9), Dungarpur (9), Kota (8), Jhunjhunu (5), Sriganganagar (4), Sawai Madhopur (3), Udaipur (3), Rajsamand (2), Bhilwara (2), Churu (2), Dausa (2), Bundi (1), Banswara (1), Jaisalmer (1), Tonk (1) and six from other states.
