SSC results in later half of this month

Panaji: The Goa Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (GBSHSE) informed that as of now, no date has been fixed for announcing the SSC result however, it would be declared in the later part of July.

A top official of Goa Board informed that the correction of question papers of the SSC examination has been completed and the moderation of the same is in progress.

“We have undertaken the correction of question papers by adopting staggered approach, including social distancing of those correcting the papers,” he added.

The SSC examination was held from May 23 to June 6, earlier this year, at 29 centres and 173 sub-centres. Conduct of the exam was delayed due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. Altogether 19,680 students had registered for this exam.

It was also informed that a committee made up of Goa Board members has already examined the contents of the English language question paper of the SSC examination, and presented its related interim report to the Goa Board. However, the final report has not been presented by the committee yet.

It may be recalled that a grammar-related question in this question paper included a conversation between two friends suggesting that opting for Portuguese citizenship is a good choice as it is difficult to seek a job in Goa without bribery or use if influence.
