An Australian woman who has years of experience in baking has shared a hack for making perfect cakes and cupcakes without spending a fortune on ingredients.
Elaine, from Queensland, said she decided to combine a packet of Coles Cottee's Instant Pudding with Aldi's White Mill Vanilla Super Moist Cake Mix.
Posting to the Aldi Mums Facebook group, Elaine was so surprised at how good the results turned out she said she may never bake a cake from scratch again.

An Australian woman who has years of experience in baking said she opted to combine two store-bought cake mixes (pictured) to make cupcakes
'I have baked cakes for many years and sold them,' Elaine said in the caption of the online post.
'However last week on a whim I made cupcakes with this packet, according to instructions, but adding an extra egg and this vanilla pudding which I bought at Coles.'
'Well I don't think I will bother with scratch vanilla cakes any more. It was fabulous,' she said.

Elaine said she simply followed the instructions on the back of the Aldi cake mix packet, added an extra egg then poured in the instant pudding mix.
But she didn't pre-mix the pudding as instructed on the back, she only added it to the cake batter.
Elaine said the pudding mix 'gives a little more flavour and a little more moisture' to the homemade dessert.

Other home bakers part of the Aldi Mums Facebook group were surprised to hear that cake hack turned out so well, as the two-part step seemed very easy to do.
Some who tried the idea said it worked 'so well'.
'Made it once before and it was the best cake if ever tasted,' one woman said.
'The best packet cake mix ever, it's a generous mix and is delicious. I've given up baking from scratch, this is the way to go,' another said.
A third said: 'I did some cake making classes and I kid you not the lady taught me this trick with a packet mix and the pudding.'
