Yogi Adityanath has now given instructions to officers to do so

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has directed to work out plans for prevention and treatment of infectious diseases including COVID-19 infection.

On Monday, while holding a review meeting regarding control of infectious diseases in Gorakhpur and Basti divisions at Gorakhpur Medical College, the Chief Minister said that all departments should work in coordination with each other to control infectious diseases.

He directed that action should be taken for planning and prevention of infectious diseases including COVID-19 infection and the District Magistrate should monitor it regularly.

Yogi said that there is a high incidence of Japanese encephalitis in both Gorakhpur and Basti divisions.

He directed that the villages where their cases are coming up should be inspected and arrangements for cleanliness and drinking water etc. should be rectified and strict action should be taken against those who are lax.
