After weeks of leaks and teasers, Poco India has finally launched its latest smartphone, the M2 Pro in India. The device has been announced as the company's latest budget segment offering that flaunts an aggressive spec sheet for the price.

Launched via an online-only event, this new phone appears to be heavily influenced by the Redmi Note 9 Pro, as it not only comes with a similar design but also features and specs that are almost similar to the Redmi device.

Poco M2 Pro: Price and availability

Poco's latest phone has been launched in three RAM and storage variants. The company has announced that the Poco M2 Pro will start retail at Rs 13,999 for the 4GB/64GB variant. The 6GB/64GB one will retail for Rs 14,999 while the top-of-the-line 6GB/128GB variant will be sold for Rs 16,999.

All three variants have been announced to be made available in three different colours -- Two Shades of Black, Out of the Blue and Green and Greener. The phone has been announced as a Flipkart exclusive and will be available via the platform during its first sale on July 14 at 12pm.

Poco F2 Pro: Specifications and features

In terms of specifications, the Poco M2 Pro has been announced to bring a 6.67-inch 20:9 FHD+ punch-hole display that is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5. The phones's body also comes with P2i Nano-coating, splash and dust resistant. Under the hood, there's a Snapdragon 720G Octa-core processor paired to up to 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage.

The cameras on-board look very much like the ones we've already seen on the Redmi Note 9 Pro. This is because the device gets a quad-camera set-up that not only looks like the Redmi Note 9 Pro's from the outside but is also the same when it comes to the hardware.

As such, the phone gets a 48-megapixel main camera on the back -- the same Samsung ISOCELL GM2 seen on the Redmi Note 9 Pro. Complementing this primary lens is an 8-megapixel wide-angle sensor, 5-megapixel macro sensor, and 2-megapixel depth sensor. The cameras come with Pro Colour Mode, Pro Video Mode, RAW Mode, LOG Mode. The front camera of the phone is a 16-megapixel sensor for selfies and video calling.

Keeping the lights on the device is a 5,000mAh battery pack, which can be topped up real fast using the phone's 33W fast charging. Connectivity options on the phone could include 4G LTE, dual SIM support, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 3.5mm headphone jack, and GPS.
