Kendriya Vidyalaya to promote failed 9 & 11 classes students by giving them project work

Earlier, those who have failed in maximum of two subjects, in these two classes used to appear in supplementary exam and had to clear the same to get promoted to next class i.e 10th and 12th board.

NEW DELHI: Kendriya Vidyalaya to promote all the students of class 9th and 11th, who had failed in one or more subjects to the next class by giving them project work. This is one time measure taken by the Sangathan in view of Covid-19 pandemic. Earlier, those who have failed in maximum of two subjects, in these two classes used to appear in supplementary exam and had to clear the same to get promoted to next class i.e 10th and 12th board.


As per the letter, signed by Piya Thakur, Joint Commissioner (academics) at KVS, if a student is fail in all the five subjects in these two classes, he or she would be assessed by the school on the basis of project and awarded marks accordingly and promoted to next class.
