Earlier, in a sign that the US-China row could further deepen, Reuters quoted Trump’s chief of staff Mark Meadows as saying that the US President was considering several executive orders targeting China, manufacturing and immigration.
The Reuters report stated that Meadows told this to reporters at the White House on Monday. Meadows was quoted saying that the executive orders may pertain to ‘some of the immigration, manufacturing and jobs ‘issues’ that the US is facing, and “ultimately dealing with China, in what we need to do there in terms of resetting that balance.”
More details awaited.
