In May, Indian Telecom operator Reliance Jio Platform announced the launch of JioMeet - video calling app. The initiation of video calling app has announced to compete with the leading application such as Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams and more.

During the COVID-19 lockdown, most of the companies have inclined towards video conferencing apps.

JioMeet acts as a substitute for the popular video calling applications. It also promotes 'Vocal for Local' campaign to make India a self-reliant nation.

Earlier, the beta version of the application was rolled out for developers for trial and testing. And after rigorous evaluations, the stable version of the JioMeet application has been rolled out for general public use.

JioMeet Features you need to find out are:

The JioMeet application is accessible from both the web and the mobile as well. It is available for both Android and IOS users. The web version might take a while to function readily as the website of JioMeet showcases 'coming soon.'

The video calling application can assist up to 100 participants in a single call and it is entirely charging less. One can sign up in a meeting either through mobile number or email Id and be a part of the call.

JioMeet has an edge over the popular used application Zoom. The JioMeet can organise illimitable meetings in a day, and each meeting can go undisturbed up to 24 hours.

The application guarantees security and reliability. The meeting initiated is always password protected and the host as all the authority to send the interlopers to the 'Waiting Room' to certify that nobody gatecrashes the meeting.

The application also incorporates Zoom like features. The 'Enterprise Grade Host Controls' in JioMeet offers password protection for meetings, share screen, ability to schedule meetings.

Apart from this, JioMeet has "Safe Driving Mode" which is similar to the "Do Not Disturb" feature one has in their phones. Once the "Safe Driving Mode" operates, one will not be interrupted by the other applications.

JioMeet has a commendable feature which can make the application more desirable. The application is multi-device support, which denotes that it allows the user to log in to 5 devices simultaneously. The multi-device support would authorise the user to log in to five different devices using a single ID. The feature would also help the user to switch smoothly from one device to another while attending a call.

The interface of the application is user-friendly and uncluttered, thus it can attract more and more users.
