LUCKNOW: Kanpur police after analysing call records of as many 115 cops, traced three personnel who could be on gangster Vikas Dubey’s payroll and alleged moles in the system.
IG Kanpur Range, Mohit Agarwal said that three cops who were in touch with Vikas were suspended.
"A probe is still under way whether they informed Dubey about the police movement," said Agarwal.
Those suspended include- sub-inspectors- KK Sharma, Kuwar Pal and a police constable- Rajeev. All the three were deployed at Chaubeypur police station.
On Saturday, station house officer, Chaubeypur police station, Vinay Tiwari, who fled the encounter site while bodies of cops piled up and others lay bleeding, was suspended. Tiwari is also under the scanner for being the mole in the police machinery, who tipped off the gangster, Vikas Dubey, about the impending raid. He was detained and interrogated for several hours by the Special Task Force.
Senior police officers said that all the four will be interrogated jointly.
