Karnataka (Bengaluru) Coronavirus Latest News Updates: Karnataka government has revised its CIVID19 quarantine norms. As per the latest guidelines, persons coming from other states to Karnataka, including Maharashtra, will be placed in 14-days home quarantine, as per ANI report.

The state government of Karnataka has decided to close and sanitize Vidhana Soudha in Bengaluru on Monday. All the staff aged over 50 years have been granted leave. The move comes after police official, who was deployed on the first floor of Vidhana Soudha, has tested positive for coronavirus. Meanwhile, coronavirus continues tp infect police personnel in Bengaluru as over 20 police stations in the state had to be sealed. In a major worrying factor, 26 wards in Bengaluru have reported more than 10 cases in last 24 hours.

With coronavirus cases rising in Karnataka, the state government has set up a toll-free 24×7 helpline to lodge complaints about hospitals refusing to accept suspected COVID-19 patients. Apart from this, Medical Education Minister K Sudhakar has warned private hospitals of action if they denied admission to coronavirus patients or declined to carry out swab tests for COVID-19.

Karnataka Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa has launched ‘Nekar Samman Yojane’ by directly transferring Rs 2,000 financial assistance to the bank accounts of 19,744 weavers in the first phase.

Meanwhile, Karnataka state government is yet to take any decision on holding the 212th edition of special flower show. The event is organised here on Independence Day and Republic Day every year, Deputy Director of Lalbagh Botanical Garden in Bengaluru was quoted as saying by ANI.

Coronavirus cases continue to increase in Karnataka and the state capital Bengaluru. In the last 24 hours, Karnataka has registered 1,925 new COVID-19 cases. Bengaluru has registered a record jump as 1,235 new coronavirus cases were detected in the last 24 hours. Bengaluru’s total COVID-19 cases are 9,580. The city has 8,167 coronavirus active cases. However, there is one positive news. As many as 603 COVID-19 patients recovered in Karnataka, and in Bengaluru, the number is 302. In Karnataka, so far 706425 samples have been tested for coronavirus.

Ballari has 90 COVID-19 cases, Dakshina Kannada reported 147 cases, Vijayapura has 51 cases, Kalaburgi has 49 cases, Udupi has 45 cases, Dharwad has 45 cases, Bidar has 29 cases, Mysuru has 25 cases, Koppal has 22 cases and Uttara Kannada has reported 21 cases in the last 24 hours.
