New guidelines for 'Unlock 2' were released in Jammu and Kashmir on Saturday and the administration has decided to keep religious places and educational institutions closed. The administration has decided to allow hotels to open completely there.
According to the administration of the Union Territory, no one will be allowed to move from interstate and from one district to another district except the valid pass holders, while the night curfew will continue from 10 am to 5 am till further orders.
Jammu and Kashmir Chief Secretary BVR Subrahmanyam released the new guidelines on Friday night and will remain in effect till 31 July. Earlier, the administration divided the districts into 'Red', 'Orange' and 'Green' categories.
Except Bandipura, the remaining nine districts including Srinagar in Kashmir and Ramban in Jammu region have been declared as 'Red' zone. Lakhanpur in Kathua district has also been placed in this category. Bandipura and seven other districts of Jammu region are classified in the 'Orange' zone, while Doda and Kishtwar remain in the 'Green' zone.
According to the new guidelines, restaurants will now be able to sit and serve people with a capacity of 50 percent, who were earlier allowed to deliver only home delivery or packaged goods to customers. At the same time, hotels will be opened with 100 percent capacity According to the order, the religious places will remain closed to the public till further orders, while the cinema hall, gym, swimming pool, bar, auditorium etc. will also be closed.
