BBMP to monitor vacant beds in Bengaluru hospitals

BENGALURU: With the sharp spike in Covid-19 cases in Bengaluru, the state government is coming up with a software which can help patients find beds in hospitals across the city.
The software developed by Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) is a central bed allotment system which is linked with 108, 104 and 1912 emergency call services.
A team will first get the list of Covid-19 positive reports from the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) and then help another team sent to pick the patient to find the nearby hospital where Covid-19 beds are available. The centralised system will have real-time updates on vacancy and occupancy of hospital beds.
