India and China have pulled back troops by at least 1 kilometer in the tense Galwan river valley in eastern Ladakh, where 20 soldiers were killed in action in a deadly brawl with Chinese troops on June 15, news agency ANI reported.

Nepal's ruling communist party's crucial Standing Committee meeting to decide Prime Minister K P Sharma Oli's future has been postponed until Wednesday, according to an official announcement. The reason for the postponement was not immediately known.
In another development, special high-level committee meeting is scheduled to take place today to discuss the Covid-19 situation in Goa.

Flood situation in Assam, meanwhile, is reported to have improved. So far, over 700,000 people across 17 districts have been affected, according to officials.
