Himachal Pradesh: ‘Take feedback from beneficiaries of welfare schemes’

SHIMLA: The Himachal government has decided to interact with beneficiaries of welfare schemes of the government in all 3,226 panchayats of the state, for which directions have been issued to DCs and BDOs to prepare a panchayat-wise list of beneficiaries.
Chief minister Jai Ram Thakur on Saturday held a videoconference with DCs and BDOs, during which he said it was essential to interact with beneficiaries regularly and devise a feedback mechanism for schemes. He said optimum use of technology must be ensured. He directed BDOs to have a detailed database at panchayat level regarding beneficiaries, so it could be available at the click of a button.
