Pune: Nine family members of Vaishali Bankar, Corporator of Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) and former mayor of the city, have tested positive for COVID-19. They are admitted at the Pune Municipal Corporation's (PMC) Corona Care Center (CCC) in Yeolewadi . Vaishali and her husband Sunil, who is also an ex-corporator, both have tested negative for COVID-19.

Test reports of Sunil Bankar's mother, brother, cousins and their grandchildren including a 9-year-old girl were received on Sunday evening. Vaishali and Sunil Bankar are reaching out to citizens in their constituency who need help and also reviewing the healthcare facilities in the area. They had distributed the Arsenic-30 homoeopathy medicine bottles in their constituency to help citizens increase their immunity while battling COVID-19.

Many citizens used to visit their home and office every day to get their problems solved. Apart from that, Bankar family members used to attend the final rites of citizens in the area. Bankar's suspect that someone from their family must have gotten infected while attending such a function in the last few days.
