Chandrapur: Eight new patients were added to the tally of Chandrapur on Saturday apart from 8 on Friday, taking the Covid-19 tally to 118. So far, 57 patients have recovered, while active patients under treatment are 61.
Officials claimed that three positive results came in the wee hours of Saturday. They included a Nashik returnee from Urjanagar, a foreign return youth from Babupeth locality in Chandrapur city and a Telangana return youth from Karanji village in Gondpipri tehsil.
Later, five more tested positive. They included two Telangana returnee women from the same family in Rayyawari Collieries in Chandrapur city, a woman contact of a Nashik return positive family of Urjanagar, a Thane returnee from Hindustan Lalpeth collieries in the city and an Assam returnee from Gadchandur.
Health officials claimed that these five persons were either in institutional quarantine or home quarantine. The condition of all the positive patients is stable, they added.
