Police recover car suspected to be connected with gangster Vikas Dubey

KANPUR: The Auraiya police have recovered a car, which is suspected to be connected with the gangster Vikas Dubey involved in the brutal murder of eight policemen. The car was recovered on Sunday morning from near Auraiya-Dibiyapur bypass close to LG garden guest house near the highway.
The police sources said that going by the documents recovered from the black coloured Ford car bearing a registration number of Lucknow, it belongs to some Amit Dubey. The car in which ignition key was found intact, they suspect could be used by gangster Vikas Dubey, however, investigation to corroborate the fact is under way.
“We are questioning locals to gather inputs. Also, informers have been roped in to see if anyone comes to pick it up. A forensic team is conducting examination,” said a senior police official while talking to TOI.
