While Vikas Dubey continues to remain elusive two days after the ambush, which left eight policemen dead, the call details of the infamous history-sheeter have revealed that at least 24 policemen were in contact with him.

The development has come a day after the station officer of Chaubeypur police station was suspended over the suspicion that he had tipped off Vikas Dubey about the police raid.

The call details have also revealed that apart from an officer, two policemen of Chaubeypur police station and some from Shivrajpur police station were constantly in touch with Vikas Dubey.

The investigation has also revealed that despite having 60 criminal cases in his name, Vikas Dubey's name was not included in the list of top 10 criminals of the district police station. Besides, hIs gang had not been registered.

Vikas Dubey's name was not included in the top 25 criminal list which was sent to the police headquarters by the Special Task Force (STF).

Meanwhile, Vikas Dubey's last location has been traced to Auraiya in Uttar Pradesh. Police have suspected that Vikas Dubey has fled to Madhya Pradesh.

On Saturday, a large police contingent kept a vigil as the house of gangster Vikas Dubey was being demolished by the same earthmover which was used in the ambush by criminals just metres away to kill eight police personnel who had come to arrest him in Bikru Village.

Before the demolition, Dubey's father and a domestic help were evicted from the premises.
