Calcutta high court (File photo)KOLKATA: The Calcutta high court on Saturday stayed the commencement of the 4th Professional Ayurvedic Examination till July 31.
The examination, to be conducted by West Bengal University of Health Science, was scheduled to start on July 6. The university had issued the exam notification on June 10, following which students of J B Roy State Ayurvedic Medical College & Hospital moved a writ petition challenging the schedule notice.
The petitioners, numbering over 100, pleaded that since they were staying in different parts of eastern India due to the lockdown and were not in a position to physically appear for the test.
