KALYAN: Looking at rising
Covid-19 cases into different Municipal Corporations in MMR (Mumbai Metropolitan Area) region on Sunday, leader of opposition
Devendra Fadnavis visited different Covid-19 hospitals in Kalyan, Ulhasnagar and
Bhiwandi area to take review of health facilities during which he appealed state government to look in to these areas as health facilities are less and municipal corporations here needs financial assistance from state government.
Fadnavis also demanded that state government should focus on how fast test reports can be delivered in these areas. Fadnavis said in case of symptomatic patients, delayed results is life threatening. More testing facilities are needed.
He further said
healthcare facilities are less and municipal corporations needs financial assistance from government.
ICU beds, ventilators and isolation facilities need immediate attention, added Fadnavis.
Fadnavis also reviewed situation with the
Kalyan-Dombivli Municipal Corporation Commissioner
Vijay Suryawanshi where on Sunday Covid-19 cases crosses 9000. Fadnavis said in KDMC, the infection rate is around 40% and cases increased by 469% in June.
He said there’s tremendous pressure on health infrastructure and state government needs to give immediate attention in Kalyan-Dombivli as patients are suffering due to lack of ICU beds.
