Coimbatore: Two cops suspended over ruckus

COIMBATORE: Two cops attached to the Palladam police station have been placed under suspension for allegedly involving in a drunken brawl with their friends.
According to police sources, constables Ramesh and Udhayakumar, who were on leave, had a few drinks with their two friends at Palladam a few days ago. After an argument arose among them, the cops attacked one of their friends, who suffered serious head injuries. The injured person has not lodged a complaint.
Tirupur district superintendent of police Disha Mittal suspended the cops.
