Given the increasing cases of corona in the country, the West Bengal government has decided that flights from Kolkata, Delhi, Mumbai, Nagpur, Chennai, Ahmedabad, and Pune will not operate from 6 to 19 July. Kolkata Airport gave its information by tweeting. It is believed that this decision has been taken due to increasing cases of coronavirus in the state. In these six cities, the incidence of infection is increasing continuously. On the other hand, the Civil Aviation Ministry said that it has agreed to cancel flights on the demand of the West Bengal government.

On behalf of the West Bengal government, the Ministry of Civil Aviation has been told that the Corona Mahima cases in Delhi, Mumbai, Pune, Nagpur, Chennai Ahmedabad are increasing rapidly, so if flights to these cities are in Kolkata then There may also be an increase in cases of Kovid-19. Earlier also, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee had earlier written a letter to the Center asking the major virus hotspots across the country to stop operating flights to the state.

At the same time, after the death of 18 people from Corona in the state in the last 24 hours, the death toll has increased to 717. Among the 18 deaths, 8 patients have died in Kolkata, 3 in North 24 Parganas and Howrah, two in South 24 Parganas, and one patient each in Hooghly and Malda districts.
