Kalyan Dombivli: 555 new Covid-19 positive cases reported taking tally to 8,601 in region

THANE: Kalyan-Dombivli on Saturday recorded fresh 555 Covid-19 patients in last 24 hours including five deaths. With 555 fresh cases, total numbers of patients reached 8,601 in region including 135 death so far.
The health department officials of Kalyan-Dombivli municipal corporation said that on Saturday 128 patients got discharged from different hospitals taking the total number of discharges to 3,346 while remaining 5,123 active patients are still undergoing treatment.
On Saturday, maximum 152 patients reported from Kalyan (East) and 137 patients from Kalyan (West).
It is the third continuous day when Kalyan-Dombivli has reported over 500 patients in a day. Meanwhile looking at rising numbers of Covid-19 cases, Maharashtra Navnirman Sena MLA Pramod (Raju) Patil from Kalyan Rural has demanded KDMC to increase oxygen cylinders inside Covid-19 hospitals.
Patil said, "Looking at the rising Covid-19 cases KDMC should stock maximum oxygen cylinders at hospital to avoid inconvenience to patients".
