A Sunshine Coast man has died following a fatal shark bite off Fraser Island on Saturday.
The 36-year-old man was spearfishing in the waters off Indian Head when he was bitten by a shark.
A doctor and nurse provided first aid to the man on the shore, before paramedics attended the scene and performed CPR.
The man sustained injuries to his leg and succumbed to those injuries just after 4.30pm.
A report will be prepared for the Coroner.
