Centre has given to Tamil Nadu to fight
Covid-19, said DMK president M K Stalin on Saturday.
Reacting to a TOI report headlined ‘
TN officials dispute Nirmala claim of Rs 6Kcr Covid relief’, where Union finance minister Nirmala Sitaraman claimed that Rs 6,600 crore worth medical equipment had been provided to Tamil Nadu, Stalin said, “Tamil Nadu officials are stating that only Rs 1,500 crore has been received from the Centre to fight Covid-19."
"The chief minister must come out with the details on this,” he added.
He also mentioned that the chief minister sought Rs 3,000 crore worth equipment from the Centre during a videoconference with Prime Minister Narendra Modi on June 17.
Stalin said the Tamil Nadu government should provide free ration commodities till November as announced by the Prime Minister.
