Ghaziabad adds 140 cases to its Covid tally, Noida 96

NOIDA/GHAZIABAD: As many as 140 new Covid cases and two deaths were added to Ghaziabad’s tally on Friday, taking the total number of confirmed cases to 1,937 in the district. Of these 1,937 cases, 833 patients have been discharged from hospitals after treatment.
At present, there are 1,045 active cases in Ghaziabad. According to the state government report, 59 Covid-related deaths have taken place in the district so far.
Noida reported 96 new cases on Friday. There are 1,005 active cases now, with 1,541 recoveries and 23 deaths. One person has died after testing positive in the past 24 hours. Adding the three parameters, the total cases in the district would come to 2,569. The report also mentioned that 15 persons were discharged from hospitals in the past 24 hours.
On the second day of the testing drive, Noida sent 3,206 samples to labs on Friday.
Of these, 1,685 tests were conducted with the rapid antigen method. Just two tests were conducted with the TrueNat machine, which developed a snag after that. The antigen tests resulted in 52 positive cases.
