Representative imageCHANDIGARH: Government Medical College and Hospital 32 has started online payment for patients in the hospital. Although patients can make payments on receipt counters for various investigations, the system of making online payments round the clock has also been started. Staff has been properly trained to run the facility.
To make online payment, the patient has to visit GMCH website “gmch.gov.in” and click on ‘online payment (Lab Tests)’ in the right corner. One has to enter the CR number and mobile number. Then, the patient has to select the investigation laboratory and tests. A requisition number will be displayed on the screen and sent on mobile as SMS. After this, the payment can be made. The print of the payment slip and investigation details must be taken to the sample collection centre.
After making online payment, patients can directly visit the respective area of investigation and show either the hard copy of the receipt or message displayed on mobiles.
The online facility has been introduced is to avoid congregation and unnecessary commute of patients at fee counters of the hospital and to ensure social distancing.
