A new Toyota Venza is coming.

This is not the same Venza, however, we remember from the past. Well, I mean, it is. But it also is not.

The return of Venza has been rumored for months. Toyota fans will get to see that familiar Venza nameplate at dealerships across the country in just a couple short months. People are excited and anxious to learn more.

This return/redesign combination will be noteworthy for many reasons.

Luxury-inspired styling. Fuel estimates teased at 40 miles per gallon. Smooth ride and comfort. It may also be one of the quietest Toyotas ever manufactured.

A few specific details stood out in my mind that I think many of us will like and be able to use in the new Toyota Venza.

Venza Star Gaze panoramic roof

Look for a new technological innovation to grace the tops of our new 2021 Venza rides. Get used to the buzzword Star Gaze.

Passengers are able to switch between clear transparent mode and a frosted mode instantly with this electrochromic glass technology.

Frosted mode makes the cabin brighter while reducing direct sunlight into the vehicle. This would certainly be beneficial in warmer climates on hotter days, like where I live in North Carolina.

Slide-away driver’s seat on 2021 Venza

Toyota does not use this technology on most of its models, but it is absolutely a welcomed addition to 2021 Toyota Venza.

When drivers get into or exit their new Venza, the 8-way power driver’s seat will automatically slide back to the rearmost position setting. This will prove helpful for people of all sizes as they enter and leave the vehicle. I imagine it will also be more convenient for people with bad backs, knees and hips.

The seat will return to the last saved setting when the Venza is started.

I like this feature quite a bit. It is subtle but people will see big benefits here.

Toyota Venza larger multimedia screens

Venza is bringing its multimedia “A-Game” this time around. Borrowing from the 2020 Highlander bag of tricks, 2021 Venza offers an available 12.3-inch multimedia system.

This system is standard on Limited trim level and optional on XLE (Venza is offered in LE, XLE and Limited). It allows passengers to operate Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and Amazon Alexa functions, along with many other settings like climate and audio.

LE and XLE trim levels come standard with a respectable 8-inch multimedia screen. It is refreshing to see Toyota moving to larger base screens than the much smaller 6.1-inch screens of past years.

JBL in the house

Promising the most powerful sound system in a new Toyota, 2021 Venza is ready for you to hear what this is all about. Premium Audio systems come with dynamic navigation and 9 JBL speakers. Plan on a rear subwoofer with a 12-channel, 1,200-watt amplifier to rock your interior cabin.

I suggest this upgrade on XLE trims if it fits your budget. This premium sound system comes standard on Limited grades.

Time for your thoughts on 2021 Toyota Venza

I am personally looking forward to seeing and driving Toyota Venza in person. My 2018 Camry lease ends in January and Venza is at the top of my list. I hope it drives as well as I think it will.

And I hope it has a favorable leasing program. I think we should all ask Toyota nicely to help make this possible.
