Representative imagePATNA: DGP Gupteshwar Pandey on Saturday announced cash prize of Rs 2.3 lakh for 23 member team of Patna SSP Upendra Kumar Sharma for successfully cracking the PNB loot case of Rs 52.33 lakh.
DGP also felicitated by handing over commendation letters to the team at SSP office in city on Saturday which included Sharma, SP (West) Ashok Mishra, Phulwarisharif SDPO Sanjay Kumar Pandey, four inspectors Amlesh Kumar, Vinay Prakash, Phuldev Chaudhary, Mukesh Kumar Verma, three sub-inspectors (SI) Manoj Kumar Rai, Chand Parwez, Ghulam Mustafa and 13 constables who worked on old pattern of gathering human intelligence to zero-in on suspects.
SSP Sharma said besides the announcement made by DGP, IG (central range) Sanjay Singh had already awarded the inspectors with Rs 10000 each while he had awarded the three SIs and constables with Rs 5000 each.
“PNB officers also separately gave cash prize to constables and memento to rest of the officers on Saturday,” he said.
Police had arrested five criminals on Friday and recovered Rs 33.13 lakh out of Rs 52.33 lakh which were looted from bank on June 22.
