Tally of COVID-19 patients in Bicholim taluka rises to 55

The tally of COVID-19 patients in the Bicholim taluka, on Saturday, rose to 55 as 1 new COVID case was found in Sankhali. 

Meanwhile, all those whose throat swab samples were collecting for testing have tested negative for COVID, which is a big relief
for Bicholim.  Health officer at CHC Sankhali Dr Uttam Desai informed that one person was tested positive on Saturday while all others tested negative. 

Dr Desai said that  on Saturday throat swab samples of round 51 persons were collected, and their test reports will be received
on Sunday. 

Meanwhile, chairperson of CHC visiting committee Dr Saroj Desai has appreciated the  dedicated work on the part of Dr Uttam  Desai and his team of doctors and  staff  in the fight against COVID-19

Health officer at Bicholim CHC Dr Medha Salkar informed that around 51 RTO employees and employees from Bicholim IDC area had undergone test for COVID on Thursday, and they all have
tested negative.

Family members of Bordem COVID patient  have also tested negative, Dr Salkar added.    

“Throat swab samples of 8 people from a private company from Maulingem and 35 people from Sarvan were collected on Friday, and all these people have tested negative for COVID,”
she added.
