Vejalpur lake handed over to Ahmedabad municipal corporation

AHMEDABAD: For the development of Vejalpur Lake, located in Ahmedabad city, CM Vijaybhai Rupani has decided to handover it, at free of cost, to the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC).
The Vejalpur Lake is spread over 32,072 sq. meter area.
The AMC will develop this lake as a city-beautification and entertainment spot for the local residents.
It should be noted that earlier the CM had handed-over five lakes to the AMC for the beautification of the city, at the free of cost. Of them, four lakes were handed-over in March and one in June, 2020.
These lakes are: Vandarvat Lake (Vatva), Government Lake (Chharodi), Gota Village Lake, Government Lake (Shilaj) and Village Lake (Sola).
