Samsung has a new plan to dominate the smart TV market

Samsung is set to make a big splash in the Indian TV market with more than 20 new smart TVs. It is expected that the new smart TVs will launch as soon as the next week.
These new TVs from Samsung will be available across price range starting from Rs 20,000 and go up Rs 2.4 lakh. The new smart TVs from Samsung will include ultra HD models as well. With the TVs expected to be in different price range, Samsung is targeting a wide range of consumers.
Samsung has been one of the biggest players in the market which has seen a lot of activity with brands like Xiaomi, OnePlus, TCL among others have been making their presence felt. By offering more models across price range, Samsung is looking to make a bigger dent in the market. Xiaomi has been the market leader whereas other brands from China have been catching up as well.
While other features and specifications remain unknown, we can expect Samsung to include features like Personal Computer Mode, Home Cloud, Live Cast and Music Player. The new TVs from Samsung are also expected to have OTT platform related features as well.
With a wide chunk of users working from home, Samsung has also been adding productivity features. For instance, the company has added free subscription to Office 365 along with 5 GB of cloud storage space.
Samsung has been quite busy in the TV market and with the new range it would have launched over 50 new models this summer season. Amongst them, the most recent is the new range of QLED 8K TVs is claimed to be the industry’s first 8K TV to combine an ultra-thin form factor, 8K picture quality and surround-sound audio.
It is priced at Rs 4.99 lakhs onwards for the base model of the 65-inch screen. The price goes as high as Rs 15.79 lakh for the 85-inch (2m 16cm) version. The new range of 8K TVs is up for pre-orders on the company’s official website till July 10, 2020. It is already available at all Samsung Smart Plazas, leading consumer electronics stores and e-commerce platforms.
