Defence tech startup, Big Bang Boom Solutions, on Thursday has raised $1 Million through Mumbai Angels Network in their overall $1.5 Million Series A funding round.
Big Bang Boom Solutions, Chennai was founded in 2018 by Praveen Dwarkanath and Dr Shivaraman Ramaswamy and is a defense startup and a deep tech defense solutions integrator. BBBS’s interests are in manufacturing and development of indigenous defense and allied technologies. The startup’s development partnerships in India helps in large scale manufacturing of Personal Safety Drone along with a Security on Demand logistics solutions for the Indian market.

The startup claims to have in house capabilities to develop critical solutions for the security and defense space and are currently developing a number of indigenous technologies, including the previously won iDex challenges such as 360 Advanced Battle Interface – 360 view for Armored Vehicles – iDex Challenge, Anti-drone defense system – iDex Challenge, T-series Unmanned Tank Development – co-development along with AmPRO and T&T, USA, BN based Hybrid Armor for Personnel – in house development, AI based - Smart fencing system, Drones for riot control “Flying Warden” – in house development with Thanos Tech, Spray Based Coagulant - wound healing and dressing, Exoskeleton for enhanced physical abilities, Blood flow monitoring probe and medical implant and COVID 19 Solutions - Test Kits, Ventilators and Drone Sanitization
The startup is on track to deliver high technology systems to the Indian Armed Forces. They also have other technologies which they have developed in-house. They also have excellent collaborations with high technology players and individuals across the country. The company has received earlier investment from an Individual investor to the tune of Rs 5 crore.
Commenting on the investment, Mahesh Agarwal, MA Investor said "BBBS has a lot of potential to grow with FDI Investment policy and now Indian Government tenders up to 200Cr to Indian companies only policy will boost innovations. BBBS has proven records of winning iDEX challenges."
