39 Thane cops, two doctors test +ve; civic chief visits hotspots across city

THANE: Thirty-nine Thane police staff and two government doctors tested positive for Covid-19, the authorities said on Thursday.
They included two officers and 37 from the constabulary and state reserve police. Officials said they were taking adequate safety measures.
Two doctors, including one in the casualty ward of a government hospital, also tested positive. Thane civic body stepped up sanitization of wards and commissioner Dr Vipin Sharma visited hotspots across the city.
