Srinidhi Shetty’s first look from her upcoming movie ‘Cobra’

The gorgeous Srinidhi Shetty who represented India at Miss Supranational in the year 2016 was crowned the winner by Miss Supranational 2015 Stephania Vásquez Stegman at the event finale. Srinidhi is the second Indian representative to be crowned at the prestigious pageant after Asha Bhat as Miss Supranational.

Post her grand win at the international platform, Srinidhi made her acting debut with the period action film, K.G.F. in the year 2018 paired opposite actor Yash which was directed by Prashant Neel. The beauty queen was highly appreciated for her performance and won hearts all over again with her movie which was a huge box office hit. She was also nominated for Best Female Debutant at SIIMA Awards and Filmfare Awards.

Speaking to a source about her debut film she said, “I am a Kannadiga and am happy to start my film career in Sandalwood. I spent time with them trying to understand the project better. I know that modeling and acting are two different things, but to be honest, I am a little nervous when it comes down to ‘lights, camera, action’. It is not easy to get your expressions right and to understand the scenes, but I will practice and will give it my best. I am sure like everybody I will learn and grow.”

The diva has now signed a Tamil supernatural thriller ‘Cobra’ marking her debut into the Tamil film industry directed by R. Ajay Gnanamuthu, paired opposite Kollywood superstar Vikram. The movie which was scheduled to be released in the month of May has been postponed due to the outbreak of novel coronavirus. Recently Srinidhi took to Instagram to share the stills of the song ‘Thumbi Thullal’ from her movie. The song which was sung by Shreya Ghoshal and Nakul Abhayankar was composed by none other than A R Rahman. Srinidhi is also awaiting the release of K.G.F: Chapter 2 which is the sequel of the blockbuster released in 2018.
