Hyderabad lockdown news, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh coronavirus cases: Telangana has reported 1,213 new coronavirus cases and 8 COVID-19 related death in the last 24 hours. The total coronavirus cases in the state are 18,570. The state has 9,226 active coronavirus cases, so far 9069 COVID-19 patients have discharged and 275 people have died. On July 2, 987 people were discharged. In Hyderabad, 998 coronavirus cases have been registered in a single day.

Meanwhile, Andhra Pradesh has recorded 845 new coronavirus cases and five new COVID-19 deaths. With these, the coronavirus tally in the state rose to 16,097 and the death toll reached 198, the state government said. As per the latest information, 10 officials posted in the Andhra Pradesh Secretariat tested positive for coronavirus. The total number of affected in the state Secretariat rose to 25.

Telangana has become one of the fastest-growing coronavirus states in India. Both Telangana and Karnataka are growing at over 7 per cent. Assam is also reporting the same growth rate. Telangana and Karnataka have entered into the top 10 list of states that register the highest caseloads in India. However, if we compare number of new cases that Telangana has been reporting recently, with states like Maharashtra, Delhi, and Tamil Nadu, the number of new infections is still low, as per IE report.

Free coronavirus COVID-19 testing centers in Hyderabad: Telangana Health Minister Etela Rajender has shared a list of hospitals where Coronavirus COVID-19 testing centers in state capital Hyderabad. These are – King Koti Hospital, Fever Hospital, Chest hospital, Nature Cure Hospital, SarojiniDevi Eye Hospital, Homeopathy Hospital, Ayurvedic Hospital, Nizamia Tibbi Hospital, Area Hospital, and E.S.I hospital.

Telangana High Court has sought details from the state government over the coronavirus management mechanism by July 17. The Chief justice said that if the state government can’t furnish details then the chief secretary, health secretary, director of public health and commissioner of public health will have to appear in virtual court.

The KCR-led government has already extended restrictions in the state till July 31. However, the state government is yet to take a decision on reopening the schools in the state. The state government in Telangana has also categorically stated that no guidelines have been issued on schools conducting online classes. Telangana Chief Minister KCR had a discussion with the cabinet to decide whether to impose a total lockdown in the state capital Hyderabad or not.

Following the Centre’s guidelines for Unlock Phase 2.0, the Telangana government has announced an extension of restrictions in the state till July 31. The state government’s order consists of relaxations in the line of the Ministry of Home Affairs’ Unlock 2.0 guidelines. As per the state government’s guidelines, no shops in the state are allowed to open in the state beyond 9.30 pm. Apart from this, people’s movement has been prohibited between 10 pm to 5 am.

After the Centre’s unlock 2.0 guidelines, KCR-led Telangana government announced the extension of existing restrictions in the State till July 31. In the order issued late on Tuesday night, the government announced some relaxations in line with the guidelines issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs. As per the rules, no shops can remain open beyond 9.30 pm and no movement of people is allowed after between 10 pm to 5 am

However, the call for enforcing a complete lockdown in Hyderabad has been growing. The Nizams family in Telangana has written a letter to authorities requesting the authorities to enforce a complete lockdown to check the coronavirus spread and break the chain of COVID19 transmission
