As the Central and state governments allow phase-wise relaxation in curbs to get the life up and running again following over two months of lockdown to prevent the spread of Covid-19, we bring you the latest updates from across Karnataka.
* ANI update at 10.11am: S Suresh Kumar, primary and secondary education minister of Karnataka visits an SSLC examination centre in Anekal taluk of Bengaluru Urban district, also interacts with the students.

*A green zone until last month, Karnataka's Chamarajanagar district is now battling a wave of infections and, in a desperate bid to rein the surge in, authorities have decided to impose severe restrictions, including making it mandatory for drivers of goods vehicles coming from across borders to spend three days in institutional quarantine.
* A disinfection system developed by a Bengaluru company can not only sanitise but also track people and provide the authorities with data that could help in evacuation or other emergencies.
*With space to bury the dead shrinking within the city, BBMP has identified and earmarked 10 plots of land on the outskirts for use as cemeteries.
*With cases rising all around, Indian Council for Medical Research (ICMR), while arguing that it’s important to scale up present testing capabilities to the maximum, has invited manufacturers to make rapid antigen kits that are affordable and provide quick results. After having trialled these kits in Ballari, Karnataka is looking to procure more of them. In a meeting last week, chief minister BS Yediyurappa was advised antigen tests could be conducted on BMTC, KSRTC, Asha, anganwadi and health workers, police personnel, railway staff, delivery boys, auto and cab drivers among others.
