Two found dead after Geelong yacht fire
Two people have been found dead after fire engulfed a yacht in North Geelong on Wednesday night.
Arson squad detectives are investigating what led to the blaze at a jetty near Mackey Street that was reported to authorities about 6.30pm on Wednesday evening.
After the fire was extinguished, emergency services located two deceased people who are yet to be formally identified.
Water Police and Search and and Rescue teams are securing the boat while the arson squad searches the vessel for evidence.
The exact circumstances surrounding the fire are yet to be determined and police have urged anyone with information to come forward.
