Rajasthan: Son fires at doctor, hurts 10-year-old

Alwar: A doctor posted at the district hospital in Dholpur was shot at by his son at his private clinic.
While the doctor escaped unhurt, the bullet hit a 10-year-old boy who was at the clinic to seek medical help for an ailment.
Dr Mahesh Rathore's son Aditya suddenly barged into his office on Wednesday while he was treating the child and fired at him thereby injuring the boy Tarun Sharma, who was admitted to the hospital and is currently said to be stable.
"My son entered the clinic and handed me a note in which he demanded that I should give him Rs 50 lakh and a car. When I refused, he tried to shoot me, but the bullet hit the child instead," said Dr Rathore.
Following the shooting, Dholpur Kotwali and Nihalganj police station officials reached the clinic and took stock of the situation. They took the statements from the doctor as well as other patients who were present at the time of shooting.
"We have registered a case of attempt to murder against the accused and will take the statements of all the witnesses," said a police official.
After the incident, the accused fled from the spot and is yet to be arrested. Police are also trying to trace his mobile location so as to track him down. They are also looking into his past criminal history if any. According to sources, Aditya was known for his apparent notorious behaviour had been demanding money from his father for the past few days and had even threatened him when met with refusal.
